Welcome to the National Patient Advocate Foundation's Advocacy Curriculum

About this course

The layout of this course is a pioneer in its regard: while patient advocacy is a large mediator for change, on both the policy and practice of medical care, little educational resources exist in an accessible manner for patients who want to express their agency when it comes to issues like communicating with their health care provider, preventing and addressing financial toxicity, and better understanding media surrounding healthcare issues and technologies. This course seeks to fill in a long-standing gap primarily for patients as well as interested health care providers.
